The Hydrometer is Easy to read humidity indicator only. The Analog hygrometer is the perfect addition to any cigar humidor

 

Directions for Use:

  1. Wipe the interior with the damp sponge or towel before first use. Use distilled water or a humidifying solution in your humidifier.
  2. Fill humidifier by:
  3. Partially filling a bowl of water
  4. Placing humidifier upside-down, half way in the bowl
  5. Leave in water for about 3 minutes
  6. Wipe of excess wate
  7. Install humidifier in humidor and leave for 24 hours.
  8. Open humidor, refill humidifier and re-install, leave closed for another 24 hours. This will season and prepare humidor for initial use.
  9. Periodically check humidity level and re-moisten humidifier as needed.

Humidity Gauge/Hygrometer:

  • DO NOT REMOVE THE GAUGE INSTALLED IN HUMIDOR/ IF IT WAS FIXED ON HUMIDOR
  • THE GAUGE INSTALLED IN THIS HUMIDOR IS PRE-CALIBRATED AND NEEDS  NO ADJUSTING OR PRE-OPERATION PREP
  • Store Cigars when gauge reads between 65-75%
  • Store humidor in a  cool, dry space away for direct sunlight or heating and air conditioning ducts.

     

    Note:

    • All wooden humidors need to be seasoned before use.
    • The reason is two-fold; (1) to raise the moisture level in the wood so it'll be in equilibrium with your cigars, otherwise the wood will rob moisture from your cigars if it's too dry, and (2) the lid won't seal as well as it should.
    • If you live in a dry climate it's not unusual to need to re-season once a year, usually during the dry winter months.
